Springfield, IL (ECWd) –
Today is a chance for the legislature to take a step in the right direction and vote in support of House Bill 3593.
We have been getting word that members are taking the position that the bill to put restraint on contract terms and severances similar to those given to the disgraced former Robert Breuder of College of DuPage is not needed because it is an isolated incident and should be left to local control.
To all members of the General Assembly, it is clear local control on such matters has failed the taxpayer and more importantly, one only need read the Senate Caucus report to see that these spending problems are not isolated.
We fully intend on investigating each and every community college for their misappropriations of tax payer money and we will prove, as we have so many times, these problem are not isolated. The few we have looked at are violating the law and for some strange reasons, lawmakers refuse to fix the problem.
Stay tuned for future embarrassment, thru detailed exposure of each and every Community College, for all those who take the position this is an isolated problem.
