Scathing Senate Report – Illegal acts confirmed…

Springfield, IL. (ECWd) –

For over a year we have been working on exposing the out of control spending at the College of DuPage.  During that same time-frame the push back was immense.  Time and time again we were refused access to records that would expose wrongdoing.  We continued to fight and expose in spite of the the now shamed Dr. Breuder’s attempt to label us as a couple of hayseed hillbillies from Southern Illinois.

It appears these hayseed hillbillies may have really upset not just Breuder’s apple cart, but many others in the state.  A recent report from the Illinois Democrat Senate Caucus was published on the lavish spending going on in our Higher Education, all while students are paying more than ever before in an effort to get the education they need.

The introduction section of the report confirms our findings on the illegal acts and one must wonder, WHEN will these people be prosecuted for breaking the law?  I say the time is now because it is not just a couple hayseed hillbillies from Southern Illinois saying it –  the Illinois Senate Democrat Caucus confirms it also;

“Despite the state’s transparency laws, many of these agreements are done in secret, denying the public the right to weigh in on the appropriateness of such generous packages, while students suffocate under non-dischargeable debt.”

“President Breuder and the College of DuPage board have been embroiled in scandals relating to lavish spending, awarding procurement contracts to board members, and fraudulent contracts.”

They confirm contracts being done in secret, so they should take action to VOID those contracts.  They acknowledge fraudulent contracts so they should prosecute all those involved.  Is it any wonder we now see multiple Federal and State investigations going on?

Another important factor with this report is the fact it disproves the Illinois Community College Board’s claim that the events at the College of DuPage are an isolated incident and should not be used to make changes state-wide.  This report supports the removal of every one of the ICCB members as they are clearly out of touch with what is going on.

Rest assured, this report is just the tip of the iceberg as it relates to spending problems in this state
