College of DuPage – History repeats: Comparing 1977 to 2014…

College of DuPage (ECWd)

Over the years we have all heard about how important it is to learn from our history.  The reason for knowing it is to prevent from repeating the bad stuff and being able to replicate the good.

The following group of news articles was sent to us this weekend, and let’s just say it should be a very sad day in DuPage County for all the citizens that have been effected by our failure to know our history and protect ourselves from this behavior once again at COD.

The history of corrupt practices dates back to its first President, and sadly, it too deals with expense accounts and unauthorized spending and self serving.

We The People have let this happen.

For those wondering what it takes to stop this kind of activity by our public officials, the answer is actually quite simple.  Prosecute them for misapplication of funds!  When we start enforcing the laws on the books instead of playing politics with right and wrong, we will send a message that this type of behavior is no longer tolerated and if you are caught doing it, you will be prosecuted!

Grab a cup of coffee and take a read of the history that has plagued COD, and when reading, realize much of the very same things have been going on at COD for some time, in spite of the 1977 history lesson.
