Charity Murphy’s proof of FOIA training has Commissioner Ewing’s address on it –

Clark Co., IL. (ECWd) –

After we reported that the Clark County Park District’s Executive Director, Charity Murphy, had not taken any FOIA training, she decided to take the mandated training. Failure to take the training is a policy violation of the Park District and State Law.

The training records for Murphy were requested from the Attorney General’s Public Access Counselor’s office and they indicated that Murphy typed into the database that her address was [the same as] Joe Ewing’s home address.

Why would we be concerned about this? Because Park Policy is to only hire residents of the Park District, and Murphy is/was not a resident of the district. She did claim, during the April board meeting, that she would be moved into the district within 30 days. Her current residence has not been verified as of this publishing.

Charity later denied putting that address in the computer while taking the training.
