CHARLESTON — A former board member of the Charleston school district booster club was ordered to repay the group $4,000 after she admitted stealing money while working at a school concession stand.

Jaimee Finney pleaded guilty Wednesday to a theft charge that accused her of stealing the money during December and January.

Finney, 44, for whom court records list an address of 206 S. Oakland Road, Ashmore, was charged with a misdemeanor offense alleging the amount stolen was less than $500.

However, the investigation revealed that more money was taken, according to Coles County Assistant State’s Attorney Gabriel Siehr, who prosecuted the case.
