COD goes public on potential fraud –

College of DuPage (ECWd) –

Only after wrongly denying a request for public records, which was for invoices from “Broadcast Technologies” (here), and after I wrote this article explaining that COD violated the law in denying access to those records, did the College of DuPage publish a press release acknowledging an ongoing investigation.

Furthermore, on October 15, 2014, I requested those records again, demanding production and explaining their error in the previous denial (here).

That same day, the College of DuPage released a “Press Release” admitting that there was in fact an ongoing investigation into potential fraudulent financial transactions.

So on one hand, COD is defending their internal controls, while on the other hand those same controls allowed fraudulent transactions to sneak through, including those from Broadcast Technologies, and the hunting club dues / sat phones reimbursed to President Breuder.
