Farm Bureau Meet the Candidate- Reggie Phillips

BY KIRK ALLEN & JOHN KRAFT

ON February 26, 2014

ECWd's- 110th State Representative Race

A couple weeks ago the Farm Bureau hosted a meet the candidate night for the 110th District State Representative race and the Coles County Sheriffs race.

We have been vetting the candidates for some time and sharing our findings regularly, which you can find all of those articles at www.edgarcountywatchdogs.com/110.

The candidates were provided a 2 minute introduction however the Farm Bureau would not allow any questions from the audience?  They advised the Candidates to mingle with the attendees and if anyone had questions we could ask them at that time.

Kevin Garner stayed behind the table talking to one lady for about 15 minutes and then departed without much mingling with the crowd.  These were the questions we had for him but didn’t get to ask.  We welcome a response from him or his campaign.

Darrel Cox did the same thing, stood behind the table and spent over 20 minutes with two people.  These were the questions we had for him but didn’t get to ask.  We also welcome a response from him or his campaign.  We did cover the false claims made by Mr. Cox during his 2 minute presentation in this article.

We were able to ask Mr. Phillips the questions we prepared as he did mingle with the crowd and engaged in numerous conversations.   These are the questions we had for Mr. Phillips.

An audio of that exchange is below:
