PARIS, IL. (ECWd) –
During the Edgar County Board meeting this morning, the board accepted the resignation of Jimmy Wells, the Edgar County Airport manager. Mr. Wells has been the center of questionable actions for more than a year now and he decided to resign his position. What bothers people about this whole ordeal is that the chairman recommended an appreciation certificate be given to Mr. Wells in “appreciation” for what he has done the past 20 plus years.
My question is: What do you appreciate about his (self)service?
-Do you appreciate the continuous lies to the board and the public?
-The falsification of grant documents?
-Lieing about the FAA and IDOT Div of Aeronautics?
-The forgery on public records?
-Secret bank accounts?
-Secret Certificates of Deposit?
-FOIA violations too numerous to count?
-Being there when the audit found problems and the board demanding no more cash money be accepted at the airport?
-Conducting private business out of the airport?
-Secret loans taken out?
-Not paying rent in space he was using?
-Benefitting monetarilly by switching the telephone long distance over to an MLM he was in at the time?
-And finally, badgering, backstabbing, intimidating, lieing, facilitating secret ballots, and colluding with others to do the same?
-Exactly what are you so appreciative of? The public would like to know!
