Roger Eddy violates Illinois Ethics Law

The following was posted on www.forthegoodofillinoispac.com

QUESTION:         Why isn’t Roger Eddy disclosing his double-dipping?
ANSWER:            Who knows, but he broke the law.

Roger Eddy has failed to declare his school superintendent job on his official “Statement of Economic Interest” in the six years 2006-2011. This is fascinating, since he did disclose his public employment in 2004-2005.

Roger Eddy’s omission is a clear violation of Illinois Ethics law, which carries the following penalty:I understand that the penalty for willfully filing a false or incomplete statement shall be a fine not to exceed $1,000 or imprisonment in a penal institution other than the penitentiary not to exceed one year, or both fine and imprisonment.” Illinois Governmental Ethics Act (5 ILCS 420/)

The code allows for fines and prison. We simply wonder why Eddy disclosed his double dipping in 2004-2005, and then failed to after that. Maybe he’s embarrassed…

Eddy’s total annual cost to Illinois taxpayers exceeds $289,078 per year.

Here’s only a partial list of the Republican establishment that’s backing tax hiking, big spending, union funded, and ethically compromised Roger Eddy:  former Gov. Jim Edgar (R-Charleston), Sen. Dale Righter (R-Mattoon)- Deputy Republican minority Leader, Skip Savino’s (R-Rosemont) House Republican Organization, and most local county chairmen.

Now we know why… Illinois is broke.

Let’s clean up the Illinois Republican party- together. If you agree, please give For The Good of Illinois PAC $25, $50, $50, $250, $500 or $1,000 to help oust Roger Eddy

This subscriber email is the first in a multi-part series culminating on Tuesday, February 28th with our “Bomb Illinois Corruption, Money Bomb” Online Fundraising Event. My wife Kerry Andrzejewski will match the first $10,000 given online, please click here.

Sincerely,

ADAM ANDRZEJEWSKI

Just out of curiousity I checked out the Hutsonville Schools website. It was last updated on 10/20/2011 and did list Roger Eddy as school superintendant. His listed salary was $91,819.00 with a pension contribution of $9,526.00 showing a total financial compensation of $101,345.00. It would appear that Mr. Andrzejewski has asked a very valid question.
