By John Kraft & Kirk Allen

On November 18, 2021

United States (ECWd) –

The Army Times reported last month that CVS won a military TRICARE pharmacy contract over Walmart and Sam’s Club.

Less than a month later, CVS announced it was closing 900 stores across the nation.

As of December 15, 2021, military TRICARE beneficiaries can no longer use Walmart and Sam’s Club pharmacies in the Tricare network.

Military Times quoted CVS bid a lower cost and the increase in numbers of pharmacies within 5 miles of most Americans.

Now they announce they are closing almost 10% of their stores.

Many of these stores are in high crime areas. They like Walgreens are tired of being

robbed, Burnt and shoplifted out of business!

Champaign is getting a new CVS store right across from a Walgreens at Mattis and

    Springfield Ave.
