ARCOLA, IL. (ECWd) –

Former Arcola Mayoral Candidate Sharilyn Kibler failed to appear in Douglas County Circuit Court last week on a Criminal Misdemeanor (Class A) charge of Resisting a Peace Officer. A warrant for her arrest was issued on Aug 10, 2021, and was returned with service on Aug 13, 2021. Cash bond was ordered forfeited. There is a continuation of bond forfeiture hearing scheduled for Sep 23, 2021.

Kibler also failed to appear on her Criminal Class 4 Felony charge of false alarm/false call to 911 – according to the docket entry, this may have been changed to Disorderly Conduct on an April 15, 2021 entry, but that is not reflected in the Disposition screen. A warrant for her arrest was issued on Aug 10, 2021, and was returned with service on Aug 12, 2021. Cash bond was ordered forfeited. There is a continuation of bond forfeiture hearing scheduled for Sep 23, 2021.

A little history on this subject from a previous article we published in March 2021:

“Sharilyn Kibler is running for Mayor.  Back in January, she was arrested in Arcola after a traffic stop went wrong.  What went wrong?  Rather than accept the fact she had no proof of insurance she chose to call 911.  She was then charged with a Class A Misdemeanor for resisting a peace officer. The Police report can be found at this link. While there is nothing criminal about dancing on the bar, one may wonder if that is the best option for their next Mayor. (Watch the bar dance here) Kibler wants your vote to be the next Arcola Mayor.”
