Why was media and Democratic officials, etc. silent while our cities and police departments were under siege and now go overboard showing violence and not the peaceful protestors?

Maybe the attempted overthrow of the government is a little different than protests brought on by the murders of innocent people of color. But you probably deny that Blacks are killed more often than police despite what their own statistics prove.

Burning Police Stations, Court Houses and occupying a State Capitol is also an attempted overthrow of the government.

No. Peaceful protest is constitutional. Violent protest is not. The pervasive imbalance of the news narrative is an avoidable happenstance that ought not be conflated with other issues.

I agree with Anon, plus I saw accounts in the Media and politicians discussing (condeming) the riots after the killing of the black suspect(s), Though to be honest I didn’t pay attention whether the politician was D or R. This riot/violence was an assault on the American Government & unfortunate for the American Taxpayer – we are going foot the bill for all the damage these people did.

I have seen some of the video’s. Things are not adding up. Some of the perpetrators are Antifa/BLM folks (caught on video) – millions of patriots showed up to protest a stolen election.

The stark contrast between the media sensationalizing this event (and once again blaming President Trump) and the anarchy, rioting, looting of major cities throughout the Country last summer (in an attempt to blame President Trump and hurt him at the polls) is obvious.

The truth always comes out and the propaganda media will once again be caught lying to the American people.

Violence is never OK – but the double standard for political reasons is further fanning the flame. Those anarchists last summer were not peaceful protestors and not one Democrat or Leader condemned it. Think about that.

There were over 7,000 BLM protests over the summer with crowds between 15 Million and 26 Million total. 95% of the riots had no violence or damage.

The media is not sensationalizing the attack on the Capitol. They are reporting and showing video of Trump supporters attacking the government. Trump supporters never take the blame. Quit deflecting.

You are mentally ill, not to mention, completely blind.

It is difficult to win a debate with a smart person. It is impossible to win a debate with a Trump supporter.

Your mental illness is not open to debate. There is no debate when you certify my observation with your own words.

95% of the riots had no violence or damage? By definition, riots are tumultuous, unlawful, and certianly not a peaceful protest.

Among your remaining 5%, as dubious a figure as that may be, which cities and/or state’s brought in or contemplated bringing in the national guard to quell the summers’ unrest? Would you also have the same figure, plus or minus a reasonable tolerance, representative of the POTUS? How did individual states’ Covid-19 response vary among large cities and/or states, and what is the contribution of those certain policy variances on your figures?

Trump’s speech had barely started when the antifa/BLM/paid thugs/whomever started breaking into capitol windows. Trump had hundred thousand people at his speech, A MILE AWAY FROM THE CAPITOL BUILDING. The couple hundred people who did the damage are getting their due, from trespassing to assault. Lots of things don’t add up, and it shows the duplicity of many of our elected officials, news media, and other.
