Lawyer Tom DeVore issues Press Release regarding JCAR Emergency Rule Making Stripping Businesses Of Due Process

By Kirk Allen & John Kraft

On August 10, 2020

Greenville, IL  (ECWd) –

Silver Lake Law Group ltd. attorney Tom Devore issued a press release addressed to the Joint Committee on Administrative Rules (JCAR) regarding the Governor’s second attempt of criminalizing business owners who do not follow his edicts.

“All you have in front of you is a proposed emergency rule intended to strip the due process rights away from businesses as provided to them under 20 ILCS 2305/2(c). A business cannot be closed without a court order. An order of dispersal of patrons as the rule calls it is tantamount to an order of closure and as such cannot be accomplished without due process.”

We encourage everyone to read the entire press release and contact JCAR with your concerns on the Governor’s attempt to once again create edicts that strip people of their due process rights.  You can email the members are the email addresses listed below or directly to JCAR.

Prigster is as concerned with the IL Constitution as his is with his BMI. A full takedown of this overblown tyrant is in order.

He wants to force private businesses which are not Government entities to enforce his mask mandate (which is NOT a law) and fine them if they don’t instead of calling the General Assembly to Springfield and passing laws through the lawmakers the way our State and Country were designed to deal with the pandemic. I don’t know what frightens me more, that J.B., a supposed licensed attorney himself and fails to understand (or doesn’t care) that everything he is doing violates the most basic rules of a Democracy and the checks and balances written into our 3 branches of Government, or that I read so many comments from citizens of this state who think he is doing a great job and have no clue how things are supposed to work. Pritzker needs to go, we need to teach more Government and History in our public schools, and I’m starting to think a basic skills test should be required to vote. I hear Democrats accuse Republicans of being uneducated all the time but wow, it doesn’t even seem like Democratic leaders understand how Government works, much less their supporters, lol. SMH..

JCAR sounds like the rubber stamp equivalent of the Illinois Commerce Commission, both designed to circumvent the General Assembly and rule of law. Covid and Smart Meters and 5G oh my. Regarding …. “I read so many comments from citizens of this state who think he is doing a great job and have no clue how things are supposed to work.” Because most opposing comments are deleted or censored.

The majority is being censored and silenced. The ones that could move have. The rest of us are fighting. Our Civil Rights are being stripped away. Being FORCED to wear a mask. No longer a Choice 😠 There is no scientific proof this is still a pandemic. The curve has been flattened. Businesses are being ruined. Murders let free and killed more innocent lives. Rioters and looters can destroy statues and businesses and nothing. But WE are to turn on our neighbors or family/friends because of a mask? We are tired of the corruptness in OUR state.

It is concerning that the Illinois Supreme Court consolidated all the civil right hearings to a court in Sangamon County. This ignores the rights of the other counties.

Perhaps, but for Clay County. As I recall, Pritzker made a concurrent appreal of the court’s initial finding….Bailey asked the appellate court to voluntarily remove the case back to Clay County…to ammend the conplaint. The supreme court would not hear the case at that time. Made sense then, I guess.

Due Process in Illinois is over. Seems Senator Resin is the only Republican who stood up for small business. Thanks Senator!
