Illinois Governor Pritzker Facing Indirect Civil Contempt Motion Seeking He Be Placed In The County Jail

By Kirk Allen & John Kraft

On August 5, 2020

Clay County, IL. (ECWd) –

Illinois Governor JB Pritzker is now facing an Indirect Civil Contempt Motion in the Darren Bailey lawsuit to include a request he be placed in custody in the county jail.

The motion is based on the fact the Governor has ignored the Court’s prior orders and continues to issue Executive Orders as it relates to COVID-19.

The motion seeks the following:

A. That, Jay Robert Pritzker, be adjudged in indirect civil contempt of this Court and be required to show cause, if any he can, why he should not be held in contempt of this Court and punished for his willful and contumacious disregard with this Court’s order;
B. That Jay Robert Pritzker be ordered to purge himself by rescinding the abovementioned executive orders instanter; and should he refuse, he be placed in temporary custody within the Clay County Jail until he purges himself by rescinding the above-mentioned executive orders;
C. In the alternative, the Court craft any other just sanction which compels Jay Robert Pritzker to purge his contempt.
D. That Jay Robert Pritzker be held liable for the Darren Bailey’s attorney fees he has incurred in enforcing the willful disregard of this Court’ s order;
E. That this Court enters any further orders which the Court deems just and equitable.

A copy of the Motion and the Rule to Show cause can be downloaded at links here and here or viewed below.

Put his ass in jail and leave him there. The only problem with it is that another crooked democrat will take his place.

Please help us and the children of Illinois , this state needs to be held accountable for the damages done to the law abiding citizens and our children.. kids back in school, small businesses open, and get back to normal life.

Yesterday in Rockford on the local evening news coverage was given about public school teachers protesting the opening of school. Two stories later another story from Mercy Hospital asking parents if their teen would like to volunteer to work at the hospital to call them. Clearly hospital staff knows how to work in an environment that is most safe, but schools spent zero time learning during the past 5 months. All thanks to this Governor. And his disorganized plans that have destroyed businesses, put thousands out of work unnecessarily and has destroyed public education for the entire state.

So unreal that IL citizens are being lied to from their government and the corrupt and complicit media. Since the judge’s decision on 7/2, the media has purposely suppressed factual legal ruling by simply ignoring it. To make matter worse, no one in the media demand any proof or accountability when this tyrant and his profane mayor issue threats and spew vague evidence to head toward another lockdown and even fines for mask noncompliance.

Are we still living in America, where the rule of law and the Constitution matter? It wasn’t enough that they’ve intentionally killed off so many small businesses, now they’re having their usual unhealthy looking DPH crony start hinting that even being around family and loved ones is contributing to the spread of this planned-demic. How insane is that? What’s next? Having to grovel at the government’s feet to issue us safe badges in order to about our personal lives?

Why are the citizens of this state, and especially of Chicago, so obedient?

This government has failed, either inadvertently or intentionally, at everything from business to health to crime. Yet, collectively, we’re all so quiet. Even when a communist mayor took down the Christopher Columbus statues in the dark of night, no one even whispered any protest. Even when there was a shooting in broad daylight in the wealthiest neighborhood, no one cared. Even when the police officers arresting a car thief and got shot, no one cared.

What’s going on? Bizzaro world? Twilight Zone?

You are completely right. We are living in an un-American twilight zone. Considering this very website posts all the court documents and transcripts, it shouldn’t be too difficult for the media to fact check their stories. But it’s clear they are in bed with our corrupt state Government.

That would be not-cruel-enough and unusual punishment for this ventilator candidate. Only 3 meals a day, and possibly having to exercise would be unusual for him. Surrounded by other criminals would be very fitting, though.

And it’s not really his money. Just look at his latest joke. Using federal money to put out the campaign to threaten fines on noncompliance.

Why aren’t lawyers organizing citizens to push back against this lawless tyrant? Where are the laws that let any government, state, local, or otherwise, of the US to force people to wear or use anything dictated by the government? Even at just $10 from each citizen for a lawsuit, there would be millions on the table for some Constitutional lawyers.

Shoot, I’ll be happy to contribute $100, maybe even more, if we can get a few patriotic lawyers besides Mr. DeVore to step up to the plate. I’m dead serious. Despite the financial straits so many folks are in here in the People’s Republic, if we patriots can pool our resources together (and I don’t think that would be too difficult to do if we would unite), I believe we can fund the lawyers to act on our behalf.

$100 X 100 patriots = $10,000 for starters. We can do this. I’m ready to do my part to sue Blimpy’s you know what. Who else will join me?

WTF People? Is this some pure Right Wing publication? Do you honestly think that the Governor wants to destroy the economy, kill education and sit back and laugh at everyone? If you think that, time to go see your Priest or Shrink, maybe both. Don’t you see what has happened to our society? Politics used to be about working an issue with the common goal of solving the issue. Sure, Reps and Dems would come at an issue from different perspectives, but in the end, if there was common ground to be found, they would find it and provide some kind of solution. It may or may not have been the best solution, but it was one that both had their hands in and had to own. Today’s politics is all about “I’m Right, You’re Wrong”. Correct me if I’m wrong, but isn’t that essentially how Wars get started? When diplomacy fails, War is the end result? Can you honestly say that we’ve explored the path of diplomacy in this country over the last 20 years? What Bailey is doing is letting down his constituents. He’s not leading – he’s looking for shock jock headlines. Ask yourself, if you had to chose between solving an issue thru compromise and pragmatic thinking, vs. just saying no because the person across the isle has a different letter next to his her name, as a tax payer, wouldn’t you rather they two work together to find common ground and try to solve our problems? I’m reading all of the responses to this post and all I see is “send him to jail!”, “hopefully he learns the meaning of “pokey” in prison”, “crooked democrats”. Blah, blah, blah Is that how things work at your company? Your home? Is that how anything worth having in this world has every been done? Stop supporting behavior like this from ANY politician. And ya, I don’t agree with everything JB has done in office. Do I think he’s intentionally trying to ruin my life? NO. HELL NO. That’s absurd. It’s time for grown ups to start acting like grown ups. Stop politicizing every single action in society and realize that no one is perfect. Start calling out politicians FROM ALL PARTIES when they act like this. Better yet, sniff them out when they’re running for office and DON’T VOTE FOR THEM! Like it or not, JB is in office right now. No different than when Rauner was in before him. JB is going to make mistakes. Rauner made mistakes. They’re both human, and I’m sure everyone on this post has made mistakes at some point in life. So stop being part of the problem. Hold politicians accountable for solving problems. Don’t be so blinded by party loyalty after the votes have already been counted. Politic when it’s election time, not when it’s time to go to work.

Ignoring constitutions, our civil rights and court orders are not mistakes.

    • HT
      Posted at 17:09h, 05 August

Looks like you’re confused. If a regular citizen were to violate a court order, what do you think would happen? Most likely some subsequent enforcement, and may be even a warrant for arrest. Why should anyone in the government be exempt? This is America, not some 3rd world crap hole.

If you’re so naive to even ask whether he, and others like him, would destroy the economy, then you’re beyond help.
      – Can you finally reconcile why his business interest in pot dispensaries was never affected throughout the shutdown?
      – Can you finally reconcile why he and his cronies never had to provide any valid proof for any of the vague evidence about virus deaths or positivity rates?
      – Can you finally reconcile why the lockdown made any sense at all for areas w/ little or no cases?
      – Can you reconcile why countries which had no lockdown ended up having lower death rates than the US?
      – Can you finally reconcile why he and his kind never punished any of their thugs for rioting and looting during the shutdown, yet threaten to lock people down again for vague spike numbers?
      – Can you reconcile why going to church, according to them, will likely kill you, but you’d be absolved while rioting?

Unless you can answer yes w/ proof for even just 1 question above, I think you’d need perpetual shrink sessions. Even a real priest of true faith won’t be able to do much for you. God help you.

Why shouldn’t he be in contempt of court? He broke our state constitution, was told as much by a judge, and he continued to bark out executive orders anyway. I don’t know about you, but I expect my leaders to follow the constitution, you know, the one that makes us a free people? If he had simply stopped making executive orders and instead let the proper departments handle the pandemic (in this case, local health departments) after he lost the lawsuit, he wouldn’t be in this bind now. He made his bed and now he can lie in it. Once the judge ruled against him, he could no longer claim his continuing to run the state on executive order alone was an ooopsie mistake/misinterpretation of the Emergency Agency Management Act. I’m going to venture a guess that you don’t own a business that was deemed nonessential? If you did, you’d likely feel quite different about this subject.

Personally, I think you are the one who needs a shrink if you don’t see a problem with our elected officials ignoring court orders and doing whatever they want.

I was born in this state & have lived her all my life (I’m 72). I remember W A Y back when it seems we had a decent state government (MAYBE… it’s been so long) but can’t remember it being that way for so many decades now it’s sickening! I’m TIRED of my ridiculously high taxes going to feed the money grubbing. dishonest criminals sitting on their thrones in Springfield… them being beholden to paying for union workers cadillac insurance policies & retirement benefits all the while getting their marching orders from Cook CO and people like crooked Mike Madigan and Pritzker! Get RID of them and enable IL to be a state of honest public servants that aren’t about cronyism and payoffs at OUR expense. HOW PATHETIC.

From what I see of your state, my home state, he wants you to wear masks and you somehow believe this violates your constitutional rights. Wow. Maybe not wearing a mask violates others constitutional rights. Because the guy is trying to protect people who appear to be too stupid to protect others you all are angry. The sad part is he does control the way this is going the virus controls how it is going. Businesses closed because of the virus, because people refuse to take precautions. Schools opening sounds similar to bars opening…..how did that work out. People have died and continue to do so. Wake up. Listen to experts not people who think they know something when they clearly don’t care about your welfare.

      Posted at 22:44h, 12 August

No, the virus did not shut down anything. Politicians who know very little, if nothing, about epidemiology, made a lot of foolish, thoughtless, knee jerk decisions in the name of public health. They are to blame. This pandemic is 20% Covid 19 and 80% hype. Those over-reactions are what has caused so much misery to everyone. In a few more months, the numbers will show that this is no more than a really bad flu season, but the majority of the public is scared out of their minds, and the control freaks are having a hay day in the name of public health.

First, the good news.. Assuming Gov. Commodius Maximus is incarcerated in the Clay County jail, it will be a day of joy. Because we won’t have to watch those idiotic news conferences where Commodius constantly declares he is “watching, as you are, as I think everybody is, what the best science is out there and trying to follow it.”

Second, the bad news. The Clay County board will have to meet in an urgent session to pass an emergency increase in the food budget for the Clay County jail.

    • HT

Don’t forget the increase in the budget for paper towels or wipes to control all that drooling. But maybe not, since he’ll have to keep his mouth shut most of the time between feedings.

Robert What you are saying might of and I say might of been true back in March and the beginning of April when the virus was just starting to spread but the empirical science now shows that it is not as deadly as once thought, the number of individuals testing positive is because more people are getting tested.. We are almost 6 months into this and the information is clear. The virus is wide spread and millions are not dying. And yes you cannot save everyone. Government doesn’t take this approach for any other issue except this one and it begs questioning If yo want to see a refreshing approach look to South Dakota. . Another issue that you are wrong on is people choosing to decide on their own about their own level of protection and choosing not wearing masks. This is not what closed businesses and caused the unemployment rate to sky rocket it was the Governors edicts which strong-arm business by threatening to take away their livelihood.
The Governors decisions have bankrupt businesses, caused the unemployment rate to go from 3.6% to over 17%, caused thousands to lose their jobs and their homes and now are affecting the educational future of Illinois Children. This has got to stop and it stops now.

  • Robert McCall
    Posted at 21:20h, 05 August

You see Governors who opened haplessly are suffering from resurgences. No one likes a lock down or a mandate to wear a mask. Experts, real doctors say a mask cuts down transmission.. Whatever low percentage of deaths that many have quoted I guess are insignificant unless it’s you or a loved one then 1 is too many. We as a nation are doing a horrible job controlling this virus. As for testing we need more not less. Otherwise the asymptomatic will spread it and the end will never come. Less testing doesn’t make it less rampant. Stopping the testing doesn’t make it better. That logic would say I don’t want anymore kids so i won’t let my wife get a pregnancy test.. I stumbled upon this page to read the article but I think I stumbled upon a pro-republican, anti-mask site. I am guessing most here swallow the garbage that Trump spews.

Another one of those people who love to call others stupid so they can feel superior.

I assume you’re not from a technical or science background. And when you find someone who agrees w/ you and appease your own fears, you think they’re experts.

For just about everyone in the private industry, especially folks like me who work w/ math and numbers, every proposal or decision we make have to be justified, proven, and in many cases, validated and peer reviewed. Spewing out unsubstantiated figures like this government would get an average person fired for fraud and incompetence. Yet, we collectively allow that trait in our government.

In the real scientific community, a theory or a hypothesis is useless if your peers can’t replicate your work or validate your results.

When did any of this so-called pseudo science about the virus ever get peer reviewed or validated by independent scientists? Please enlighten us.

Isn’t it strangely coincidental that the media only harps on the Republican areas w/ their claims of spikes? How about submitting all those results for independent testing and validation? Isn’t that coincidental that areas that have had lots of riots, as in nightly, have very little or no mention of any spikes?

Isn’t it strange that riots and looting seem to cancel out the spread of this virus. What a miracle!

It’s your Constitutional right to wear anything you want. It’s NOT in the Constitution that the government can make its citizens wear anything.

Projecting your insecurities and fears onto others and obediently repeating unvalidated facts certainly don’t make you more knowledgeable about science if you never had a solid foundation of scientific or critical thinking in your upbringing. Invest in a bubble suit and maybe you’ll be more calm and sleep better.

      • Stacy
        Posted at 05:35h, 06 August

Amen. Just because a Government official throws out the words “science” or “data” or “experts” at a press conference, doesn’t mean any actual science, data or experts was actually used in the decision making process. Pritzker has yet to share any of his science, data or experts with the public. None of it was included in this lawsuit to justify his sweeping executive orders. Any critically thinking person should be able to come to the conclusion that you need to weigh the risks. So even with a very low death rate, any covid death is one too many. While that may be true, what are the risks of sweeping school and business closures and lockdowns? Because yes, those things carry very real risks too, including death. Not to mention, none of these mitigation efforts were ever promised to end all covid deaths in the first place.

Sometimes I wonder if people ever stop and think about the risks involved in every single thing they do? You are taking a risk each time you get in your car. Ever look up the death rate from car accidents?

At least one governor had the presence of mind to close a recently opened drive through testing facility in order to FIX process problems and improve testing quality before resuming. Problem 2) does clay county have the budget to feed him …it will take a lot of food .

At this point, im convinced clay county court and bailey are indeed just grandstanding.

They can convict king pritzker of whatever they choose, but seem to have zero enforcement powers.

Months of false hope so devore and bailey can gran a few headlines

I dunno about grandstanding, but it seems the time (days) Pritzker had ro appeal Count I of Bailey’s 1st ammendes complaint lapsed. There’s also been no news here on Bailey’s 2nd ammended complaint. Therefore, Bailey’s indirect civil contempt complaint seems to be made due course.

        But does it really matter?
That’s my point. Seems like Pritzker has unlimited disregard for any judgements.
My question is, does he even have to care? Seems like there’s no enforcement mechanism, not even in Clay county, forget the rest of the state.

If you are proclaiming victories (such as Bailey and Devore are) that they got a judgment, but the judgement is not enforced, is it a victory? or is it just a “look at what freedom fighters we are” grandstand?

Don’t get me wrong, i agree with the decision 100% and want the goobernor held accountable. But it seems like the court’s decision is laughed off by Pritzker, et al. making it invalid

Agreed. Perhaps attorneys in Mr. DeVore’s peer group ought to be stepping up to the plate.

BTW, a local big shouldered newspaper recently published an article that quoted Pritzker and a Will County judge. Bailey’s complaint was never “reckless” nor, as Pritzker is quoted thereby, “laughable.” “Bereft of legal analysis”….really judge? Are you simply smitten to J.B. and/or beholden to the “political agenda” Priztker said previously of judge McHaney?

Why does everyone stand by silently while our state and our country are torn apart? It is time to rise up united. No colors, no creeds, just US citizens taking back Our country! Looks like we’ve collectively let things slide too far for too long. We’ve been complacent and distracted w/ modern conveniences and entertainment while socialist crooks like these have organized and are bent on turning America into a socialist sh!thole. Just look around the country, where all democrats areas are happy to let businesses and people’s livelihood crumble just to make it easier to implement socialism. I’m afraid we’re somewhat late to realize their scheme.

Our kids have been indoctrinated in public schools, colleges, and social media. They’re all so woke and smart and degreed, but most can’t do arithmetic or know anything about history.

We’re glued to our phones, fanatical about sports where mostly illiterate athletes preach to and teach us how to be inclusive, while they bow silently to their bosses in China.

We won’t buy American if it’s a few dollars more. We don’t know any news around the world, but we think we’re so bad that we need to cleanse.

We’ve been told: Oh it’s just a mask. It’s just a few weeks. It’s just a church, you can pray at home. It’s just a school. It’s just saving our lives. It’s just taxing the rich. It’s just about equality. It’s just about your health. It’s just a joint. It’s just essential businesses. It’s just a little fetus. it’s just until we have a vaccine. It’s just until we can trace everyone. It’s just your job. It’s just a few more dollars of tax. It’s just for underprivileged. IT’S ALWAYS JUST SOMETHING LITTLE. AND A BUNCH OF LITTLE THINGS ADD UP TO EVERYTHING.

      We’ve been fooled.

The only thing we can do right now is at the local level, we need to be unified, organized, prepared, and focused on what it is about America that must be saved. If we can’t do any of that, we’re done as a country.

A realistic option I see is to split in to 2 separate countries. One free and one of a hell hole.

It happened to my birth country in 1954, where some folks thought life would be beautiful in only they expunged the French colonists, and the country split north and south. The North embraced Marxism, the South embraced freedom and capitalism. In a short couple of years, innocent folks started to risk their lives and escaped that utopia in the communist North and seeked asylum in the free, capitalistic and westernized South. The South flourished, enough to attract American attention and its way of life. Of course, when life is too good, complacency sets in, and citizens become weak and lazy. The South of my birth country during the 60’s and early 70’s were very much like America today. We had everything, opportunities, wealth, and we were blinded. The press back then in the South were also constantly preaching about equality and how bad capitalism was, much like our media today.

The folks in the South forgot how their country started and became unaware that socialists were just waiting to take over the whole country. Even the youth back then in that faraway country believed the cancerous message of socialism and its false promises. They protested, burn the South’s flag, burned themselves, went on hunger strike, etc. Not much different that what we have today.

Cut to the chase, the commies ended up taking over the South in April 30, 1975, and rather easily, w/o much resistance from anyone. Even the Americans had to leave in shame, losing to a bunch of guerilla soldiers who didn’t even shoes, food, or guns. The only things the commies did after taking over the South was tearing down all historical sites and statues, changing street names to glorify communist heroes, and started rationing food. Looks like this country is already ahead w/ statues already been taken down.

Not more than a few months after that commie takeover of the South, people started to escape, and many of those escapees were doing that for the 2nd time (the 1st time was soon after 1954). The total number that fled that socialist cesspool totaled millions, and were known as the “boat people.” My family and I were among that group. We’ve been so blessed to have settled in America. Many of us either died at sea, killed or kidnapped by pirates, or ended up in concentration camps for years. All of that just to get away from the commies.
No virus or diseases could ever be more scary that communism.

My reason for this long story is that what America is going through right now, is nothing new. It has been done and failed many times before. Everything being said in the media, by our teachers, our youth, and the democrats, have all been said before in many other languages. The goal and message have always been the same: Fear works.

This overhyped virus is just a cover to get people to hunker down, keep quiet, keep being afraid, and just wait for the government to come and rescue. Since this hype seems to not have a 100% success rate, they’re ushering in other scare tactics. Fortunately we still have many parts of America where people are still exercising their freedom and not depending on the government to rescue them.

Again, be prepared, organized, unified, alert, and focus on how unique and beautiful America is. Only through this approach that we can preserve America.

We also need to be mindful of those who are currently ecstatic that their democrats leaders are tearing down our economy, statues, institutions, families, and faith. These are not Americans, because real Americans don’t take pleasure in seeing other Americans suffer. Know and remember who they are, and don’t give the opportunity to ruin your livelihood, your jobs, your family, with their cancel culture and shaming tactics. There are so many Americans who are afraid to speak up because they don’t want to be marked by the leftists (Been through this in my birth country as well). When the time comes where they will turn to us to beg for scraps, and they will (yes, this happened in my birth country, too) because they didn’t know how bad socialism could be, we need to remind ourselves to let leftists enjoy their make-believe utopia, and where our resources and compassion could be better given.

      God bless!
