Illinois Governor Pritzker misleading the nation on National TV?

By Kirk Allen & John Kraft

On April 7, 2020

United States (ECWd) –

Illinois Governor JB Pritzker has taken to the airways pretty much every day, and managed in some form or fashion to take verbal shots at the President as well as the Federal Government as it relates to the China virus COVID-19.  As if the local press briefings are not enough, Pritzker was on CNN April 5, 2020, and made claims that are in direct conflict with information from the Secretary for Health at the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services, Admiral Giroir.

Specifically, Pritzker stated the following on National TV:

“If they had started in February building ventilators, getting ready for this pandemic, we would not have the problems we are having today and, frankly, very many fewer people would die,” he said.”  (See 1:25 mark of the video)

We contacted the Governor’s media contact ([email protected]) and asked two questions:

  • How many people have died from not having a Ventilator?
  • How many deaths in Illinois are due to any part of the Federal Stockpile not being ready?   If such deaths are identified as being due to the Federal Stockpile not being ready, what specifically was not available from the Federal Stockpile in relation to those deaths?

As of publication, we have not recieved any response, nor do we anticipate getting any response considering they have never responded to a single question we have asked in the past.

What we do have is the comment from Admiral Brett P. Giroir, M.D. on April 6, 2020, White House Press Conference.

Admiral Giroir specifically states:

  • “We have been able to meet, easily meet all the ventilator requirements that have been brought to us by the State.”
  • “No-one has not gotten a ventilator that needs a ventilator”
  • As far as we can project, looking at all models, every person who needs a ventilator will get a ventilator.

Who do you believe?

  • A Governor who removes toilets from his home to avoid paying property tax?

Or

  • An Admiral who “authored or co-authored more than 100 scientific publications, editorials and book chapters. He is the recipient of numerous honors and awards, including the U.S. Secretary of Defense Medal for Outstanding Public Service, the American Heart Association’s President Lyndon Baines Johnson Research Award, and the American Society of Nephrology’s President’s Medal. ADM Giroir was the nation’s high school debate champion in 1978. He received a bachelor’s degree in biology, magna cum laude, from Harvard University, and a medical degree from the University of Texas Southwestern Medical Center.” (Admiral Giroir)

While we understand there will be those that will insist on believing Pritzker’s comments over Admiral Giroir, we ask that you also understand if Pritzker is to be believed, he must be able to back up what he claims.  With such a desire to bash the current President and the Federal Administration, this would seem like a great chance for him to prove them wrong.    We doubt that will happen with Pritzker.  To date, he won’t even disclose the number of patients released from the hospital or the number of people who have recovered in this state.

Pritzker made another statement that raised a red flag and points to him being more about political jabs rather than actually dealing with facts or the problem at hand.

“There is no way we can stockpile in anticipation of a pandemic that no one anticipated.”

A pandemic that “no-one” anticipated?

It appears, on one hand, Pritzker expects the Federal Government to have anticipated the pandemic and stockpiled for it while on the other hand take no responsibility at the State level for its lack of preparedness.

One only need to read this article to see there was plenty of anticipation of a pandemic as far back as 2000, which makes Pritzker’s comment false.  The pandemic was anticipated and those in charge through numerous administrations failed to listen to those raising the flag.

What is of importance during any emergency is meeting the needs of those impacted, and according to Admiral Giroir, no-one needing a ventilator has gone without one, making Pritzkers’ claim appear to be nothing more than just another daily political jab that does nothing to deal with the challenges the state is facing.

Such misinformation from a Governor of any state is unacceptable and an immediate apology is in order.  Anything short of correcting the record and telling the people the truth should result in an immediate resignation.

If he thinks the squeaky wheel is going to get positive attention from our POTUS, he really doesn’t know who he’s dealing with.

How is removing toilets from property remove the need to pay property taxes? I thought even vacant houses pay some tax on their property? When did the governor (probably before he became governor if this is actually correct). And, was this in a city/town or rural area. Just curious.

Yes, he did it to get the property taxes reduced on the mansion he purchased next door to the mansion he lives in on Chicago’s “Gold Coast”.

He claimed the property was not habitable and therefore received a greatly reduced property tax bill. He has since backpedaled (since he was caught and was going to be charged with fraud) and offered to pay the amount he should have in the beginning.

Pritzker removed his toilents to claim the house was inhabitable, thus a $300K reduction in his property tax. The home was either in Chicago or in a Suburb in Cook County. Google it. Its old news.

The house was un-inhabitable. Like you can’t live in it. That’s why he removed the toilets. To make it that way. See, that’s how shysters operate. Then he buys an election so he can hang out with all the other corrupt DemocRats in this broke ass state because of DemocRats.

What’s the purpose of the Federal government providing money to each state emergency operations dapartments? During all of the Illinois governor’s press conferences where is the state of Illinois board certified epidemiologist?

Been following Watchdogs for years. My first comment: Instead of relying on either of the two government officials, I recommend that you ask hospital procurement departments, and ICU staff who connect and monitor ventilators.

Great point, unfortunately the ones I contacted refused to provide any information and told me to contact IDPH for the information supplied to them by the Hospitals. So far, not a single hospital in Illinois has come to the microphone and said they were out of ventilators for those who needed one. .

Maybe if he weren’t so busy slamming Trump and the federal government and actually did something on his own…. I really get tired of him blaming the administration for all his problems.

Today, I’m not allowed practice social distancing in a like manner because the Illinois administration has all the state parks closed….for anything. Governor Priztger seems slow to reply to at least two Illinois senators who have requested opening up certain state parks. It’s hard to believe.

  • Kirk Allen
    Posted at 15:27h, 07 April

Looks like Pritzker’s own press briefing proves he was not honest on National TV. Kind of hard to say there would be less deaths if the feds had more ventilators when your only using 29% of those available as it is.

The economy in this state should speak very clearly about the governor. The state is broke, property taxes are among the highest in the country, businesses and residents are moving out of state, and most decisions seem to be based on Chicago. The rest of the state is considered the resource pool to support those decisions. I personally believe he is taking advantage of the people he claims to be helping. His personal agenda has knocked this state completely to the ground.

You can’t see past your hatred for a president that has done a hell of a lot of great things for our country. Get your head out of the Demonrats asses and grow a f—-ing brain!

You are so very right!! People just can’t seem to see anything but red or blue and if you aren’t on their side you’re all kinds of crazy or whatever terminology they want to use. Almost all politicians are crooks! You can’t trust a single one of them and now we have the biggest crook ever as president! Society has become accepting of the lies, hate and juvenile name calling which has become an everyday thing from our president. There is NO ACCOUNTABILITY whatsoever! There will hopefully come a day when the people stand up and say NO MORE and do away with politicians altogether!

Gov Pritzker Is probably just trying to figure out another way to raise taxes yet again to further line his/their pockets. I believe very little, if anything, Gov. Pritzker says or any Dem in Illinois. No wonder so many long time residents have left the State.

I had all the symptoms but no contact with someone that had it. But they did treat me as if I had it. Three family members also got sick. I’ve never been through the temps (104.5) and chills likei did those 2 weeks!!

Because of his first love….$$$.

Get off it. All you ever do is wine while people are dying you can only wine and accuse. I don’t hear anyone talking and complaining out the stupid Republicans in Wisconsin making people vote in the midst of a pandemic and president who rags about voting my mail, yet he mailed in his vote in 18.

I am a 67 year old conservative Republican. I am an RN who has worked full time plus overtime in nursing for 50 years. I was born and still live in my hometown in Clinton Illinois. I was fortunate enough to spend about 10 years living/working in Red states as a travel nurse and now I know why people are fleeing Illinois. I pray that people will wake up and vote the Chicago democRATS out of office because they are destroying Illinois. I am so glad to read an honest article on Pritzker. The Chicago democRATS always have been and will always be power hungry money grubbing crooked lying politicians who don’t give a damn about downstaters. I vote in every election and it just kills me that the Chicago democRATS get to rule the State. I sent Pritzker an email begging him to just TRY to work with President Trump during this crisis and Pritzker just continues to play politics, lie lie lie, like Chicago democRATS always do..

This contagion has created a marketable panic by the media, a disseminated product of information or misinformation which autonomously segments society, and funnels the sheep into their appropriate pastures. I can think of 95 reasons to question everything, even the experts, who continue to expose what could only be malpractice at best, vain attempts at relevance at worst. Jay Bob is one of said experts. Dishonesty is a growing segment of our economy, which has created a new space devoid of accountability, to work from. “Let’s think about that for am minute! Are you interested?”

Comment is: Why doesn’t someone just fix Illinois? Cannot always blame our Federal government when one is elected to manage the State first. Look at how many Illinois Governors have been jailed. IF Illinois is run so good, why are our people always leaving? It is ashame because this state has real, natural beauty and natural resources.

Also, beyond toilets, a simple google search I did about claiming residency in a income tax free state while keeping a home in Chicago, a case law Ari ticket popped up in which the Pritzker Family Trust move to Texas to avoid Illinois income taxes and was upheld despite the Pritzkers still residing in Illinois. So Gov Fat Cat gets paid from his trust fund now in Texas without paying its “fair share”.

One last comment before this exhibit is completely deceased. The United States government is not so charged to save its constituents from pandemics, natural selection, or even God; of which most of America has complacently rejected. Government is only charged with one task, making the job of President of the United States of America mostly clearly delineated by our founding documentation. Government in the United States sole responsibility is to keep us FREE. Everything else is an overreach.

I live in Illinois and I had to file for unemployment on March 27th. It’s now April 17th and I still have not been notified if my claim was approved. All the vital phone numbers to call to check my status are either busy or filled with automated messages that tell me to call back at a later time. The gov shut down people’s jobs but wasn’t prepared to handle the number of unemployment claims.

Unfortunately we all look like morons because the Dems have redrawn the political maps to dilute the Republican vote and it makes us all look complicit. If you want a laugh and be glad you don’t live here – take a look at the voting maps in illinos. We need a takeover of our state just to get rid of the corruption here and reform pension rights. I am not saying bail us out. The people that have abused the system by inflating their salaries by 3x before retiring should have clawback clauses for abuse. The only people that have guaranteed work around here are the government employees. There won’t be many republicans left soon – I don’t know many R’s that can stomach what is happening here. We have some good republicans but they get railroaded by the corrupt D’s. sickening.
