Mary McClellan’s Effort to Have Special Prosecutor Named to Go After Headless Duck Accuser for Indirect Criminal Contempt Fails

McHenry County Associate Judge Jeffrey Hirsch has ruled that Circuit Court judicial candidate Mary McClellan will not have a Special Prosecutor named to institute legal proceedings against Lisa Shamhart, the woman who obtained an anti-stalking ruling against McClellan based partially on the charge that the former County Clerk put a headless duck on her daughter’s porch.

Read for yourself the logic advanced by McClellan to have someone replace the State’s Attorney, who declined to prosecute Shamhart for indirect criminal contempt, and that of Judge Hirsch in rejecting McClellan’s arguments.

“Shamhart, the woman who obtained an anti-stalking ruling against McClellan” Is this correct? I thought the request for the anti-stalking order was denied. I take no position other than it should be presented correctly.
