Algonquin Township Road District – No Criminal violation – Salt gate ends!

McHenry Co. (ECWd) –

“it is our opinion that it appears no criminal violations have occurred.”

The McHenry County States Attorney was notified June 12, 2019, that the Attorney General Public Integrity found that no criminal violations have occurred by Mr. Andrew Gasser, the Algonquin Township Road District Highway Commissioner.

We provided our analysis of the salt delivery situation in this article back in December.  Our conclusion was that there was no criminal act committed and it appears our position is now validated.

It should be noted, the findings clearly state, no criminal violations have occurred.  That is much different than saying there was insufficient evidence or that they lacked resources to take the case.  They made it clear, there was no crime committed.
