Algonquin Township Road District – Taxpayer funds go to Hooters in Wisconsin……again!

By Kirk Allen & John Kraft

On April 27, 2018

McHenry Co. (ECWd) –

Credit card records we have obtained once again point to Algonquin taxpayer dollars going into the pockets of a Hooters restaurant in Brookfield, Wisconsin.  Of interest is the fact approximately one year earlier a similar charge to this same restaurant was exposed in this article.

Why would the credit card of the Algonquin Township Hwy. Deptartment, in the name of Bob Miller, be used at a Hooters restaurant in Wisconsin to the tune of $181.22?

What public purpose is served for the taxpayers of Algonquin Township when their money is put into the business market of Brookfield, Wisconsin?

We welcome any explanation from the Township and the McHenry County State’s Attorney regarding this matter to inlcude an explanation as to why this would not qulify as a missaplication of funds, a felony under the criminal code?

(720 ILCS 5/33E-16Misapplication of funds.
(a) An officer, director, agent, or employee of, or affiliated in any capacity with any unit of local government or school district commits misapplication of funds when he or she knowingly misapplies any of the moneys, funds, or credits of the unit of local government or school district.
(b) Sentence. Misapplication of funds is a Class 3 felony.

Gee, a town just west of Milwaukee where we have another previous Crystal Lake resident taking trips. Oh, that’s right he’s in jail now. What is it about criminals and heading for the border?

I’m wondering what all that there Flex Seal got used for?

Them tv commercials show it fixing leaky boats and leaky basements!

Is there any proof the “waterproof sealer gutters” was actually used for that?

Is there any proof the “waterproof sealer gutters” was actually used for taxpayer owned gutters?

Also that there as seen on TV cr@p tends to be amateur hour stuff if you know what I mean!

Business meetings and work required classes for the employees do happen out of town.

Perhaps the parking lot at the Brunch Café in Fox River Grove ($160.52 on 2/8/17) was full when they arrived hungry.
