DuPage Co. (ECWd) –

Tonight the College of DuPage Trustees voted 5-0 (Birt’s abstention carries with the majority), student trustee voting yes, to hire Dr. Ann Rondeau, a retired Vice Admiral with a distinguished career serving in the United States Navy.  “Dr. Rondeau holds a Doctorate in Education from Northern Illinois University, a Master’s degree in Comparative Government from Georgetown University, a Bachelor’s degree in History and Social Science from Eisenhower College, and has attended distinguished senior executive training and education courses. She was awarded an honorary doctorate in Public Service from Carthage College. Ann has received numerous awards for leadership and public service, including the New York City USO 2008 Woman of the Year award, and The Women’s Center’s Leadership Award in 2013.” More info on her can be found at this link.

McGuire and Wozniak voted “present”.

Does anyone find it ironic that Brueder
gave an interview where he said with such pride that he never served in the miltary? Because if he had he would have had to enter in as a general because he wasn’t one to take orders.

Fast forward to College of DuPage’s newest President, Anne Rondeau, is a retired Navy Vice Admiral!!! Godspeed Admiral Rondeau!

So if anyone would like to meet Dr. Rondeau you have 2 more opportunities this coming week of December-once in Westmont and again in Glen Ellyn. She is terrific. I found the posting for these “Town Hall” meetings under Board of Trustees on the COD website. You have a chance to ask questions of her and Chairman Mazzochi.
