Clark County Park District: Terry Stepp’s extreme exaggeration debunked –

By John Kraft & Kirk Allen

Clark County, IL. (ECWd) –

One of the items Terry Stepp complained about during the Clark County Park District’s April meeting – just prior to attacking a FOIA requester with their version of Sturmabteilung (Brownshirts), for daring to write things they didn’t like – were wild, exaggerated claims of “producing in excess of 10,000 pages of documents” from FOIA requests. We realize he was simply vomiting whatever Charity fed him, but he might want to conduct a tiny bit of research the next time.

10,000 pages of documents produced

Wow, that’s a lot. That is 20 reams of paper, plus all the ink and toner, plus all the time sitting by the printer waiting for it to print out. . . LOL

NOTHING WAS PRINTED !
This wild exaggeration, aimed solely at making the FOIA requester look bad, was nothing more than a spreadsheet file consisting of 6.9 mb of data, arranged in a way that if printed, would have taken that many pages.

Basically, all Charity did was open up an electronic database, and tell it to save the data as a spreadsheet, then emailed the spreadsheet to the FOIA requester.

I would say Charity Murphy’s claim of “One document is 12,793 pages” (more than 25 and 1/2 reams of paper) is a far cry from reality, bordering on a lie – which is nothing new coming from this park district.

Spreadsheets

Using the flawed logic of Murphy, we could say that it was only 214 pages of printed paper . . . because we could tell that spreadsheet to “fit on one page”. Sure, it would be impossible to read because of being so small, but the fact is, it could be printed on 214 pages.

By now you should realize that we do not intend on printing the 214 pages, and the Park District would have never printed the 12,793 pages. So we have the park district throwing up a smoke-screen to the public, so the Marshall Advocate would print it (with possible payback with an appointment to the board), without any form of qualifications on their statements – all in an effort to look like the innocent victims of harassment. With statements like the ones made, they are asking for more critical writing about their operation and the lies used to further it.

The spreadsheet is smaller in size than the average picture taken with a cheap cell phone – that is how small the spreadsheet is…

10,000 pages? We don’t think so!

Villainize those who caught you with your hand in the cookie jar and victimize yourself… its the radical liberal’s playbook.

This director is nothing but a liar and manipulator. She’s got them under her thumb because she has helped to cover up violations of the election code and ethics.
