Lincoln-Way D210 – Motion to Dismiss Denied in part – LWATU lawsuit will continue –

Lincoln Way, Will Co., IL./ (ECWd) –

Update 3-4-2016 11:37 a.m.:

The Court dismissed Count I with prejudice (final)

The Court dismissed Counts II and III without prejudice (may plea again with amended complaint)

Count IV denied dismissal

Court granted Plaintiff leave to file an amended complaint.

Amended Complaint due in 14 days, and as I understand it, LWATU will file an amended complaint focusing on the one single point that the BOE moved to close North High School.

Breaking News (3-4-2016), and an update and congratulations to Lincoln-Way Area Taxpayers Unite in their lawsuit against Lincoln-Way School District 210 and their decision to close a High School.

Today, the Judge hearing the case denied (corrected: IN PART) the School District’s Motion To Dismiss.

We will update this as soon as we can obtain further information.

Case number is 2015MR003026 in Will County Court

    Speaking of lawsuits ,we here in Arcola are looking forward to Wed. the 9th.Finally the taxpayers of Arcola will have their day in court.Betcha the good ole boy stuff that goes on at the Douglas Co. Courthouse won’t fly in Springfield.Thanks ECWD!
