College of DuPage, Acting President Dr. Joseph Collins loses self control during meeting (video) –

By John Kraft & Kirk Allen

On January 21, 2016

College of DuPage (ECWd) –

This is a partial video of  COD’s acting president’s meltdown during Board of Trustees meeting tonight.

He stated many times that he is confused, and we agree – he is confused about whom he works for.

Additionally, he stated that the reason the college is on probations, and the reason the Higher Learning Commission visited the college and placed them on probation, was ONLY because the Chicago Tribune wrote a couple articles critical of the SLEA, Suburban Law Enforcement Academy, and its credit hour problems. We will follow-up on this portion in future articles.

More video to come when we get it processed…

Enjoy!

Joe Collins.

Dr. Collins is of the mind that he has corrected all deficiencies noted by the HLC with the exception of Board of Trustee matters. He is claiming that everything was blown out of proportion by the media. Does he have his head in the sand? Maybe I can understand why – it is because the Senior Administrators are pulling down huge salaries, some above $200K annually, and those folks do not want to lose them. There are clearly systemic issues that need to be addressed. There are clearly ethical issues. Didn’t Dr. Collins and the Senior Administrators take part in the free food and booze at the Waterleaf? The college needs a new President and all new Senior Administrators. The whole lot of them should be fired or resign. Otherwise it will just be business as usual.

Wow! He is basically throwing a tantrum with the premise that “you’re not the boss of me”. Where do these types get the mindset that because I’m a PhD I am infallible and I make the rules?

Is Dr. Collins frustrated by what’s going on at his school? Sure, you can hear it in his voice. But when he starts spouting legalese in a public forum, you can tell he’s running scared. Why not be open, honest and transparent. You might even get consideration for the full time post. But when you act this way in front of your constituents, I can only surmise that you have something or someone you are trying to hide. This all seems like a giant Breuder puppet show. I thought he was terminated and removed from his post? But by appearances, he’s still running the school and it’s senior administrators and group of 3 trustees.

What a ridiculous temper tantrum. Looks like their new president isn’t any better than the last one. He reminds me of Diane Jennings on the Orland Park Library Board. A loudmouthed fool.

This guy is an idiot. What a disaster. Why he is interim and not out of the administration is beyond me. I keep hoping there is some level of professionalism in the college, but that is yet to be seen. Sooner the 60 days is up the better. I feel for the faculty, students, and other quality administration staff….oh, and for us tax payers paying his salary and other ridiculous costs coming after years of horrific management by the former board members and administration.

There is nothing more annoying then when you sanctimonious people can’t even proofread what you post. 1. It’s WHO not WHOM, 2. “and it credit hour problems.” ?????? 3. THIS not TIS. You just make yourself look like jackasses because these article stay on the internet forever.

According to “grammar monster” .com, our use of the word “whom” is correct.
      I’ll give you the misspellings.
      Do you feel better now?
