Clark Co., IL. (ECWd) –
After the short meeting tonight that was determined to be a meeting of a non-existent finance committee, the Park District’s “Security Guard” decided to intimidate those that were in attendance by staring them down as they walked past him.
He was in the back of the room the entire time of the meeting, and as he had done in previous meetings, decided to get belligerent with those in attendance.
When called out on his staring me down, his response was to call me a fat b*stard.
Who is Mike Church? He is the husband of the disgraced “former” (never should have been one in the first place) Marshall City Alderman, Bev Church, that was forced to resign after being taken to court because she was never qualified to have the position, due to not living within the city of Marshall.
As an employee of the Park District, he should learn to behave himself in public and on park district property. I was a little concerned that he might try doing what he had a file of on Judici (you can get a copy of the particulars at the courthouse).
Anyway, you can listen to his comment below, just don’t have children within hearing range…

Posted at 09:14h, 27 MayHis behavior is no surprise to me at all. Both at public meetings (City council and Park board) and elsewhere, Mike’s belligerency has been on display for some time. For no one on the board to speak out against such behavior is a bad rap ON THE ENTIRE BOARD. Intimidation is a way of life in and around Marshall and Clark County and has been for years by many people. The crazy part is that wrongdoers around here accuse questioners of intimidation if all they do is make inquiries. The residents of Clark County should do something about the problem, but they never do. I sent a copy of this posting to the other aldermen and Mayor of Marshall.
