Orland Park Public Library holds Illegal Criminal Meeting Before Meeting –

ORLAND PARK (ECWd) –
About 30 minutes prior to a regularly scheduled monthly meeting, a majority of a quorum of the Orland Park Public Library Board of Trustees held an illegal meeting in a small room just off of the main public meeting room.

Trustees Plotting to Arrest Citizens for Attending Meeting

This illegal meeting lasted approximately 20 minutes. The subject of the meeting was apparently how to go about creating a “disturbance” in order for them to have an excuse to call the police and have a couple citizens arrested for attending the public meeting.
The “plan” was to create an incident whereby the board would have to “recess” the meeting because the meeting would be interrupted by the two “violent, tea party, gay, multiple email address possessing, pregnant, library haters”. Those are the words of the board and their attorney, not mine.
So here we have the board of a public library, planning out how to have citizens arrested for attending a meeting and speaking out against the library’s refusal to stop child pornography access, and even knowingly allowing registered sex offender in the library to use the computers. All with the assistance of the American Library Association (ALA).

Caught!

Three board members were caught, and even verbally stated they were in a “strategy session” – presumably to plan a way to cause a disturbance at their own meeting so they could call the police.

They were all excitedly looking at papers and board member Diane Jennings even gleefully stated “Oh, tonight is going to be good! We’re going to get them this time!

Board President Nancy Wendt Healy, and board members  Diane Jennings and Beth Geirach were in attendance.

They were also the only three that voted to “recess” the monthly meeting so they could claim a meeting interruption, thereby justifying calling the police. THAT MOTION FAILED!

Those three should be arrested and charged as the Open Meetings Act states.

Kevin DuJan, one of the planned arrestees, is the person who caught them in their illegal meeting. Another complaint has been filed with the Illinois Attorney General on this issue.

They just don’t learn. What the heck are they running up there, a politcal regine? They should all be systematically voted out of office.

          The whole article?
That they had a meeting before the meeting?
          That they should be arrested?
