Integrity? Morals? Trustworthy? Godly? You be the Judge!

By Kirk Allen & John Kraft

On March 3, 2014

ECWd’s – 110th State Representative Race

After attending the recent Crawford County Lincoln Day Dinner and listening to the Crawford County Board Chairman George Bilyew give a brief speech about the importance of elections and how we must find candidates with integrity, trust and morals as well as Godly men who are not afraid to take a stand for what is right. It was encouraging to hear as his words resonated with many and it’s exactly what we have been saying for several years.

All three of the 110th State Representative Candidates were present and in the same fashion as the other times they spoke, two of the three stood before everyone and lied again.  Kevin Garners new story telling was covered in this article.

Darrel Cox switched gears from his most recent campaign flyer (See it Here), which claimed he had balanced his budget for the last seven years, and now reverted back to the first fabricated statement he used at the Coles County Farm Bureau meet the candidate event.

Let’s apply some facts and see if they even remotely come close to meeting the standard called for by Crawford County Board Chairman.

Darrel Cox Grabs the breasts of his co-worker = Morally Bankrupt!(See full article by clicking here)

Darrel Cox – Lied about his budget from the podium and in his mailer = Lacks Integrity! (See all the proof in this article)

Darrel Cox – Charges Meals at Hooters (2013) = Same old Darrel! (Copy of FOIA request and credit card statement)

Darrel Cox – Claims in campaign flyer the government should live within its means, but as you can see, that is not the case for him as the credit card statement for his Hooters excursion clearly has We the People paying interest of over $40.00 that month = Do as I say, not as I do! (Copy of FOIA request and credit card statement) & (See campaign flyer here)

Darrel Cox – Stays silent on the question asking if he would authorize 5 new casinos and authorize slot machines at every race track  = Afraid to take a stand before an election?  (Copy of Illinois Voter Guide with Candidates Response)

Darrel Cox – Stays silent when questioned if we should lower the compulsory age of school attendance from 7 to 6. = Afraid to take a stand children’s education before an election?  (Copy of Illinois Voter Guide with Candidates Response)

I think it’s a safe bet to see that the Judge called it like it is when he said Darrel’s behavior has not been corrected with 17 years of progressive discipline and the facts from that day forward clearly support those words!

This Zebra’s stripes have not changed.

Vote with your mind, not your emotions!

Gambling expansion is morally bankrupt. We are taking money from the poorest people already..and more gambling will only increase the misery. Its a fact that more availability will mean more problem gamblers too. Then there is lowering the compulsory age for school. Another terrible idea. It is also a fact that the more government controls our children the worse the outcomes. Already Cox is playing politics by failing to answer important questions. Why would we think that will change if he were to win the election?

And this is only the tip of the iceberg for this thug. He has his own gunsmith business and has taken advantage of the public by billing the county for work he has done. That is illegal along with selling guns in direct violation of the law, just like many other sheriffs in this state. Until we elect states attorney’s with a set of balls this will never end. Prosecute him just like any one of us would be prosecuted!

These slugs running for office are leaving a slime trail a mile long. I’d like to personally invite the local “GOP” to answer these charges or make some statement that will be beneficial to the voters regarding these people running under their label. I’m not giving the GOP any more donations when they send me those mailers until I see something in the press from them that addresses this stuff. I’m 56 years old and I’m really disgusted with the politics in this area. The GOP silence on this speaks loudly in the wrong direction. Oh yeah…and if they say “oh that’s just politics” I’m done for good. I want real answers.
