Holland Township Electoral Board – Petition objection withdrawn

By Kirk Allen & John Kraft

On February 13, 2017

Shelby Co. (ECWd) –

We ran this story a couple days ago regarding the Holland Township Electoral Board meeting.

I was contacted this morning by Mr. Forcum and advised the Chairman of the Electoral Board that he has withdrawn his objection.

“I have just notified the Chairman of my withdrawal of my objection in this matter”

We confirmed that Mr. Focum saw no need for any other party or the Township to incur unnecessary expenses and that he felt it best to withdraw.

We are pleased to see the steps taken by Forcum as it’s not too often we see public officials follow the rule of law in these types of matters.

Thank you, Mr. Forcum, for doing what we believe was the right thing.

They were wandering in the desert before you spoke up. If you hadn’t been there I’m sure the law wouldn’t have been followed. The Chairman didn’t have the faintest idea what to do next. The Shelbyville Election Board video should be required viewing by every elected official, not just election boards. It was so clear and compelling about “The Rule of Law.” You are doing a great service to all the voters in Illinois. If the President wants to make something great again he should start with Illinois. We would have a field day!
