Britain Leaves EU, PM Cameron Resigns, New Independence Day – –

By John Kraft & Kirk Allen

On June 24, 2016

In a vote that goes down in history as voters refuse to give away their Liberty – Britain voted yesterday to leave the European Union (“EU”).

The stunning election results caused Prime Minister David Cameron to resign (video of his full resignation speech here).

From Reuters:

‘Explosive shock’ as Britain votes to leave EU, Cameron quits

Britain voted to leave the European Union, forcing the resignation of Prime Minister David Cameron and dealing the biggest blow to the European project of greater unity since World War Two.

Global financial markets plunged on Friday as results from a referendum showed a 52-48 percent victory for the campaign to leave a bloc Britain joined more than 40 years ago.

The pound fell as much as 10 percent against the dollar to touch levels last seen in 1985, on fears the decision could hit investment in the world’s fifth-largest economy, threaten London’s role as a global financial capital and usher in months of political uncertainty.

The Brits see the one world govt agenda for what it is, now the question is, are Americans smart enough to reject that freedom and sovereignty stealing nonsense

I’ll be happy with Obrexit in the US

Frankly this is a disaster of epic proportion; and to think it all about the nobility of freedom and sovereignty is delusional.

I’d go for military coup right now in the US. This is gonna be a long 7 months left of Barry Soetoro

Well, this is enlightening. From your own sentence, “In a vote that goes down in history as voters refuse to give away their Liberty…” to the absurd comments from a few of your followers, I am truly disappointed in this site.
I recall a comment that one of you made to a question I had asked, about super pac and outside donations to elections. You seemed to think it perfectly all right to send money to a location where you do not live, to help elect an individual of whom you know virtually nothing, because you ‘think’ they are the best candidate.
And now I see the kind of people who follow you.
Let’s see; let’s start with Ed: a ‘military coup’ What is this, a third world banana republic? And then he adds the fictitious name of someone, a ‘Barry Soetoro’. Oh, yes, I do know to whom he is referring. All the tin hat people like that name.
A bit milder but not very clever, is ‘not a feminist’ and his take: Obrexit.
Dave retorts: ‘The Brits see the one world govt agenda for what it is…’
So far, there seems to be only one grown-up in your comment area.
Sadly, you two do a wonderful job of calling out illegal activity by those in positions of authority, as well you should. And I admire the amount of work you do to ferret out the ‘bad guys.’ I also realize that you have no control over the comments of your readers. But I believe that your personal opinion about what is happening in Britain is sad. As much as I am not totally impressed with some decisions made in Brussels, it is a work in progress. And the repercussions of this vote, if followed through, will only harm the people who are the least powerful. The rich, as you well know, will always be with us.
I am, today, very sad. For England, for Europe, and, just reading the comments posted, of our country too.

The vote WILL go down in history, that is not up for debate as we understand history.

The vote was more about immigration than anything else and it does appear the voters chose their liberty over an immigration policy that is destroying the EU. A position that I believe most in America would choose as well.

As far as funding in areas we don’t live, please don’t twist words and imply we said something that we did not. Nor should you assume support of a position or person is based on what we “think” we know. We provide support to that which we “do” know.

Never underestimate those who “don’t” post. Nor should you judge this site by those who do.

      Cheryl, where to begin?

Isn’t that what Citizens United v. FEC (2010) was all about. It’s the law of the land. The Supreme Court ruled. Get over it.

More to come. I have to go to bed now and go to sleep recalling some of your risible comments.
