College of DuPage lies about Fire Protection on legal documents…

College of DuPage (ECWd) –

Yet another fine example of the level of deception certain people within the College of DuPage will go to in order to get their way!

On February 2, 2012, Dr. Breuder signs a draft agreement with the Village of Glen Ellyn that contains a key statement under item #5 of the agreement:

“The College shall obtain fire protection service from another agency or by agreement with the Village of Glen Ellyn Fire Company.”  (Click here for copy of agreement)

March 13, 2012 Dr. Breuder signs the petition to annex the college into the Lisle Woodridge Fire Protection District (LWFPD). (Click here for copy of signed petition)

Shortly thereafter an unsigned petition is presented to the LWFPD which contains some very disturbing language under item #4 of the petition.  Also note that the title for signature on behalf of the College in this document has the term “President” :

“The Village of Glen Ellyn does not operate a Fire Department(Click here for copy of unsigned petition)

March 29th, 2012 the LWFPD passes resolution 12-02 which contains an exhibit B, and happens to be the same language as the unsigned petition referenced above, however, the title of President has been removed and in it’s place is Chairman.

So what is the point?

For starters, multiple documents signed by Dr. Breuder reflect that Glen Ellyn did in fact have a fire department.  In fact, not only has Dr. Breuder signed his name on documents stating as such, a simple review of the Glen Ellyn Fire Company web site you can see they have been a fire department since 1907.

Why would Dr. Breuder have his title removed from the original draft petition to annex and have the Chairman title put in its place? Considering he had the authority given to him during this scam on the public and knowing how this guy operates you can rest assured there was a reason.

I suspect the primary reason was the document presented to the courts contained a blatant lie!  Item #4 in the signed document clearly is a false statement which means they lied to the courts.  Dr. Breuder had to know that was a lie and was not going to sign his name to it.  Who presented that document to the board?

What ramifications are there for a College Board Chairman who signed documents that contained a false statement and allowed it to be presented to the courts?

Better yet, did COD utilize public funds on behalf of Glenfield Baptist Church in the Joint Petition?

Stay tune for more shenanigans from the leaders of COD!

Kate Perkins Archie I would say that the statement, “The Village of Glen Ellyn does not operate a Fire Department” is actually a true statement.. I believe the Glen Ellyn fire dept is a separate legal entity from the Village of Glen Ellyn and is not controlled or operated by the Village. However, if the intention is to imply that no other fire protection is available to COD and this church, that isn’t true either.
