Campaign Awareness: Illinois 110th

Campaign Awareness

SAME DAY payday loans

In an effort to shed light on this year’s primary races we reached out to every member running for the State Representative position in both the 110th and 102nd.  This story will cover the 110th candidates and we will post our information on the 102nd as we finish it up hopefully before this weekend.

What we discovered was interesting to say the least.  As you all know, we strive to ensure our reporting contains facts with either first hand interviews or documents to support the claims made by political candidates. .

What did we discover about our upcoming candidates after just a little research?

 In the 110th Race:

 1.  Brad Halbrook – Clearly the front-runner who from all accounts on our research has backed every aspect of his campaign with documented facts and doesn’t have any baggage.  A family man who has put his business life on hold to help fix our state.  He has posted his Tax records online, will not take the health care and retirement benefits when elected which saves the tax payer in this district approximately $70,000.00 a year! He has signed the pledge to repeal the 67% income tax placed on the backs of the people of Illinois and is not only a supporter of our 2nd amendment rights but will push for conceal carry and is a current Concealed Carry card holder issued out of Florida, which is recognized in 37 states last time I check.

Having met Brad on numerous occasions I can say it’s a breath of fresh air to have a man of integrity stepping up to try to fix this broke state. We have not been able to find a shred of even questionable past with Mr. Halbrook, unlike others in this race.

Good Luck Mr. Halbrook!

 2.  Roger Eddy – So much disturbing history uncovered in 21 days he withdrew from the race.  Even though his reason was to take on a new position its clear from our research there is a whole lot more to that story than being shared at this time.  The taking of public tax money by his campaign is just the beginning of an amazing story that we will cover in the future as time permits.

Good Riddance Mr. Eddy!

 3.  Kevin Garner – I spoke with Kevin on two different occasions and tried both times to set up face to face meeting but he did not want to do that for some reason.  Interestingly during those conversations, no matter how I phrased my questions, the response of “this is off the record” was expressed several times, followed with claims of illegal activity by his opponents.

For those out there that know me and know the research I do and the stance I have on corruption I have to say the last thing I want in office is a person who claims to have firsthand knowledge of a crime but is not man enough to contact the authorities and have charges filed.  Failure to do so indicate it’s either not true or you’re a man afraid to lead. Either way, it’s a far cry from the leadership we need to fix this state.  We The People deserve to know the truth about what our elected officials stand for and who they really are.  Considering Mr. Garner would not go on the record with my questions we are forced to stick to the only record we can find, which is public record in numerous courthouses.

Kevin Garner:

  1. Currently in Bankruptcy and reports to have several thousand dollars left to pay. (Source of this information was verbal from Kevin Garner himself)
  2. Arrested for Criminal Battery in 1991 – Plead Guilty to a lesser charge. Criminal Felony Arrest
  3. Arrested for Fleeing and attempt to elude police in 1991 – plead guilty Fleeing and eluding police
  4. Arrested for transporting and carry of alcohol in 1990 – Plead Guilty Illegal Transport of alcohol
  5. Arrested for Criminal Misdemeanor in 1991 – Disorderly conduct – Nolle Prosequi (a declaration made by the prosecutor in a criminal case either before or during trial, resulting in the prosecutor declining to further pursue the case against the defendant.) Disorderly Conduct
  6. Divorced in 2011 – By agreement of the parties, a no-contact order is entered in 11-D-52. In exchange for said no-contact order, the order of protection was dismissed. No contact order in lieu of order of protection

From the “record” one could conclude Mr. Garner will fit right in with many of our Illinois political characters.  There are a few more interesting things in Mr. Garners past but I think the point is clear.  Character matters and although many of the mentioned arrests were years ago, his claim just last month of having knowledge of a crime yet refuses to take action tells me all I need to know.  Character matters and it’s not checked at the door for political gain!

Good Luck Mr. Gardner!

Regardless of who you select, we are confident that at least you have more information to go on than what our local media provides.  Our primary goal is to share light on truth and expose questionable matters so our people become informed voters.

We encourage everyone to dig deep and ask tough questions.  Hold them all accountable.
